This was one of the better cafes in Montemor.

Sure the prices were a bit higher than other cafes, but the service was good, the staff all wore uniform and, they even washed their hands before handling food.

It closed a couple of weeks ago.

Now the windows are covered up.




People say it's going to become another bank.

It's odd that in a poor part of Portugal we already have seven banks in a small city...

Perhaps the banks make money from lending money not from taking deposits?
